About Our Camps

Our camps are led by qualified and experienced coaches from the Southampton Suns National League programme. Each session focuses on player development, teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment — the core values of Suns basketball.

We welcome boys and girls of all abilities, ensuring every participant learns new skills, meets new friends, and has fun through the game we love.

Age Groups & Structure

U6 – U8: Mini Suns

• Introduction to basketball through fun games and movement skills

• Focus on coordination, balance, and teamwork

• Short, engaging sessions designed to build confidence and love for sport

U9 – U12: Junior Development

• Introduction to core basketball fundamentals

  • Dribbling, passing, shooting, and defence

• Skill-building through fun, game-based learning

• Small-sided games to maximise touches and confidence

• Encouragement of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play

U13 – U16: Advanced & Competitive Camps

• For players with some basketball experience

• Focus on skill refinement, game understanding, and performance

• Training includes:

  • Advanced ball-handling and shooting drills

  • Tactical awareness and spacing

  • Strength, agility, and fitness components

  • Competitive scrimmages and situational play

• Pathway into Southampton Suns CVL and National League teams
